Quotes from Participants
Below are a few quotes from participants we have supported.
Just a little thank you for the care, support, and compassion the 3 of you have shown me. Makes a guy think he can do anything. You’re probably not paid enough for what you do, but you 3 still go above and beyond. I am sure you take great pride in what you do as it shows in your fantastic attitudes. I hope one day your organization gets the funding it deserves. Education really is the best starting point for a better life and world.
I am so thankful that there are people like you in the world who are so willing to help people and not judge them as they try to get back on track. Keep doing what your doing Megan as I believe you can make a huge difference in the world one person at a time. Thank you for everything.
Please keep them credits coming! I really enjoy doing them! I wanted to thank the Amadeusz Team for helping me achieve my credits. My goal is to graduate this year. That way once I’m out of prison I can go to college and study to become an engineer.
Thank you for all the positive help and encouragement! I know your just doing your job, but you do it with a lot of passion. It makes me happy knowing that someone else cares about my progress.
I am extremely happy to obtain my GED, and I couldn’t have done it without a profound teacher. So kudos to her and the rest of the Amadeusz program for the superb job they did.
I have never had someone supportive in my life. It's hard for me to see what I am capable of accomplishing.
Now i have finished the first semester of the Transition to Post Secondary education program with George Brown College. I'm happy to explore new horizons and I am able to see myself as an individual who could offer a lot to the table, with you i learned a lot about myself and had an awakening and lot of things are dawning. I'm more confident, courageous and optimistic about all these opportunities presented upon me.
I want you to know that I'll never forget everything you did to help me, it means a lot. For the first time since I can remember I felt like I wasn't being judged and could openly talk to you about anything. The fact that you stood by me and helped me along showed me that you cared.
Thank you for all you have done for me. I will never forget the outstanding job you and the rest of the Amadeusz staff has done for and with me.
While I have no statistics or sources from which to prove the following assertions, I hope these few words I’m offering on my lived experience drives home these points: Amadeusz through its education program provides to those in prison an alternative to the embittered disillusionment and resulting recidivism; it lowers our risk to harm and re-offend; it inspires us to do better and aim higher; and then, it goes about realising those aspirations of ours through support in guidance and mentorship. To that, to all that has come about, and to all that may come to pass as a result of my participation in the Amadeusz education program, they have my sincerest gratitude.
You gave me hope when I didn’t have any. There were a lot of times where I would think negative and was ready to throw my life away to this lifestyle but you made me realize that it’s never too late to be the man that I’m supposed to be.
Prosper has played a major role in my success after incarceration. If it wasn't for Prosper, the barriers that I faced after my time behind bars would've been 10x more difficult to overcome.
