Amadeusz is a teaching method that is used in the Look at My Life Project, which was launched in 2009. This project uses the pedagogy to facilitate an education program for incarcerated youth, ages 18-30, who reside at The Toronto West Detention Centre, The Toronto East Detention Centre and The Toronto Jail. The goal of this project is to provide young people who are in detention with the opportunity, resources and support to complete their high school education; either through obtaining their General Educational Development (GED) Certificate or Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and to explore and prepare for post-secondary schooling. Through education, it is Amadeusz's aim to foster the desire among participants to create positive change in their lives and communities.
